Project Overview
I worked on this project during my time at In-Solutions Global, I contributed to the design of a merchant management portal for one of India's leading private banks (anonymised for confidentiality). My primary responsibility was to define the platform's information architecture and translate it into high-fidelity interfaces, creating a scalable navigation system for merchants.
The merchant portal serves as the operational hub for businesses using the bank's payment infrastructure. Merchants rely on the platform to monitor transactions, generate payment requests, manage settlements, initiate refunds, download reports, and access support resources—all from a single dashboard. As the platform evolved, new features were continuously added, increasing the complexity of navigation and making it harder for users to locate the tools they needed.
The objective wasn't to redesign individual screens.
It was to reorganize the entire experience into a system that felt predictable, scalable, and easy to navigate.
The Product
Enterprise merchant portals aren't designed around a single task—they support an entire business operation.
Merchants rely on them every day to monitor transactions, reconcile settlements, generate payment links, process refunds, manage documentation, and access customer support.
As new capabilities were introduced over time, the platform became increasingly difficult to navigate. My role was to restructure the information architecture and translate it into a scalable visual interface that made these workflows easier to discover and use.
Design Process
My involvement focused on structuring the product architecture and designing production-ready interfaces after the discovery phase.
